"We've been working on our own blend for a lower leg lube for some time now, and we've finally found the best combination of base oil and additives to give the best compromise in all areas.
The key things we were after were:

• Low friction - friction is the biggest performance killer, so we wanted to get this as low as possible.
• Good surface adhesion - it's possible to get other lubes that offer very low friction, but if they don't stay on the surface, they're no use!
• Good mobility - generally, a thicker oil will achieve better surface adhesion, but won't get around the leg and through the bushings easily.

We managed to find a base oil that offers great mobility and adhesion, which, when mixed with an additive to reduce friction and even more surface adhesion, gave us the mix we'd been looking for!

The additive contains Teflon, but not the Teflon we're used to in this industry (we've all seen some clumpy messes from other manufacturers!). The Teflon particles, in our additive, are microscopically ground and negatively charged. This allows the Teflon particles to not only mix more easily, but they also embed into the surface roughness of your stanchions and hold themselves in there. This creates a nice fine layer of hard-wearing lubricant which not only reduces friction, but also reduces wear too!"

Compatibility

FL01 is compatible with any lower leg, excluding semi and open bath systems, where you should use the manufacturer's specification oil, as it will affect your damping. 

Instructions

Please refer to your fork manufacturer's recommendations for the amount of oil required for your fork.
