RampAir is the next evolutionary stage of air spring technology – an intelligent dual-chamber system with a movable piston and higher pressure. The piston separates the two positive chambers and, from approximately halfway through the suspension travel, allows for targeted interaction between the chambers. This harmonises the spring curve and significantly improves the performance of your suspension.

 Achieving a consistent, linear spring characteristic is difficult with air-sprung suspension systems – because air behaves exponentially when compressed. As a result, conventional air forks often lack the important mid-stroke support, i.e., stability in the middle of the travel range.

To compensate for this deficiency, many manufacturers opt for overly stiff compression damping. As a result, riders reduce air pressure to maintain a sensitive response to small bumps. However, due to the lack of mid-stroke support, many tend to use volume spacers to gain more support – which only leads to an overly progressive curve at the end of the travel.

The result is an unbalanced chassis setup: either you lose sensitivity for grip and comfort, or you sacrifice control and stability in corners.

RampAir solves this problem intelligently: The system utilises the natural progression of air to create a linear and controlled spring curve. This gives you a suspension that performs optimally throughout its entire travel – sensitive at the beginning of the stroke, stable in the mid-stroke, and controlled at the end. The pressure in the main and RampAir chambers can be individually adjusted, allowing you to perfectly tailor your suspension to your riding style and terrain.
